Ottawa had the dubious distinction of being the coldest capital in the world in January 2019 ("clocking in about 20 degrees colder than winter heavyweights like Moscow
and Helsinki, and even edging out perpetual champ Ulan Bator, Mongolia,

And thats not all!
Low temperatures combined with nearly 30 cm of snow reported at
Ottawa Airport last weekend, set the city up to chalk up another unusual milestone -- the coldest snowstorm in more than 100 years.
And I haven't even mentioned the winds of 30-50 km/hr!

Special Notes For Sketching at the Nature Museum:
- Small collapsible stools are permitted.
- As always. make every effort to not obstruct the view of other visitors
- In terms of the Butterflies exhibit, there is an additional charge of $5/person and tickets must be purchased in advance as there is limited availability. Due to very limited physical floor space inside the greenhouse etc., the museum has advised sketchers to not plan on sketching inside the greenhouse.
