Freehand Drawing & Discovery by James Richards
(Publisher: Wiley 2013)
The sub-title of this book “Urban Sketching and Concept Drawing for Designers” is misleading. Not only is it for designers, it’s a fabulous tutorial resource for casual sketchers. It offers step-by-step demos with dozens of tricks and techniques.
For example, Chapter 3 Elements and Entourage covers people, vehicles, trees, shrubs, ground covers, rocks and land forms, water, furnishings, sky and buildings.
